Greens plan to crack down on waste to NZ landfills

From Morning Report, 7:35 am on 20 August 2018

The Greens have announced plans to crack down on the amount of waste New Zealand produces. At its annual AGM in Palmerston North at the weekend, Associate Minister for the Environment, Eugenie Sage, announced a new work programme on waste which has been signed off by Cabinet. The goal is to reduce the amount of rubbish going to landfills. The Greens also want to get tougher on people dumping tyres and lithium batteries. Green Party co-leader Marama Davidson joins us in studio to discuss.
