Health bosses 'optimistic' pay offer will avert nurses strike
District Health Boards say they are optimistic their latest pay offer will prevent a proposed nurses' strike in July. The DHBs say they have effectively doubled the offer made in March. The March offer resulted in nurses voting to strike for two days in July. Helen Mason is the DHBs' spokesperson. She tells Guyon Espiner she is optimistic the pay offer will be accepted.
