A lot of urban dwellers get their information about farming from supermarkets, new research suggests.
A Massey University research project surveyed over 1300 urban and rural people about their views on farming.
This urban-rural connection point is one of several key findings that came out of the Diverse Experiences of Farming project, that was co-funded by Our Land and Water National Science Challenge.
Dr Janet Reid from Massey University's School of Agriculture & Environment co-led the research. She spoke about the findings at the Food, Farming & Freshwater Roadshow in Renwick in February.
