Vermont democrats have chosen transgender woman Christine Hallquist as their candidate for governor.
It's the first time a major party has nominated a trans person for the role. She'll be up against the incumbent, republican Phil Scott, this November.
She tells The Panel she is part of a wave of change, inspired by the current political climate.
