A 29 year old man has been sentenced to life in prison in Samoa after he pleaded guilty in to two counts of murder.
Asovalu Le'a from the village of Nono'a Sale'imoa was charged by police in June last year following the death of two men, aged 43 and 37, who were his own relatives.
The police summary of facts says the defendant was armed with a machete in which he had used to slash both victims throats when his uncle had complained of being ill treated by the deceased's during a beer-drinking session.
The uncle had also complained to the defendant of being pushed out of a car they were traveling in with the victims.
