A dispute between landowner groups and a logging company in Solomon Islands Guadalcanal province has required police intervention.
The Solomon Times Online reports police responded quickly and peacefully settled an incident which saw a group of landowners remove equipment from a logging camp in West Guadalcanal.
Police has been told the removal of equipment developed from a dispute among three separate landowning groups, all claiming ownership over the area where logging was underway.
The equipment has now been returned after the police intervention.
