The copyright of Manu Samoa rugby team's war dance will be challenged in court after the World Cup in France.
The creator of the Manu Siva tau or war dance, Ulupoao 'Ata Maia'i, has told the Samoa Observer newspaper that he will sue the Samoa Rugby Football Union over breach of copyright.
The move comes after the national rugby team performed the new version of the dance for the head of state, Tuiatua Tupua Tamasese Efi, who is also the President of the rugby union before leaving the country last week.
Ulupoao says he is also seeking a court order to stop the rugby union from using the original Manu war dance.
