A teenager in California has pleaded not guilty to killing two members of the Tongan royal family in a car crash.
Edith Delgado, 18, was remanded in custody on $3m bail on three charges of vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence.
Prince Tu'ipelehake, Princess Kaimana and their driver died in the crash.
The two members of the royal family were visiting members of the Tongan community in the San Francisco Bay Area to discuss political reforms.
Ms Delgado, of Redwood City in California, could face up to eight years in prison if convicted of all charges.
Police said she was driving her Ford Mustang at up to 160km/h in a race with another vehicle when she hit the royals' car.
Ms Delgado was not injured. No other vehicle has been found
