A catholic priest on Nukunonu atoll in Tokelau says bad weather from Cyclone Percy, is continuing to hamper sea travel.
The cyclone is 1,000 kilometers southeast of Nukunonu this morning, and moving south.
Tokelau is experiencing showers, thunderstorms and rough seas.
Father O'Connor says there are 25 people hoping to return to Fakaofo atoll by boat today, with another 60 wanting to go back to Atafu.
"One difficulty you see, where we normally load people on a boat you have to go out on a channel over a reef. We can't use that channel cos its too rough. They will have to go across to the other side of the atoll."
Father O'Connor says another difficulty is that the boat has lost its anchor.
